Cover image-Immortal classical works of the General Kim Jong Il

Just before completion ,On September 26, 1981, the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung visited the Grand People’s Study House and taught about its mission and duty.

The great leader said that the Grand People’s Study House was not a simple library to lend books as ones in other countries, and that the mission and duty of the Grand People's Study House is to equip the working people with the Juche Idea and the latest science and technology so as to develop the country's science and technology as soon as possible and implement the policy of making the whole society intellectual.

That day, the great leader mentioned that the Grand People's Study House is not a simple library but the centre for making the whole society intellectual and a correspondence university of the working people.
