On Further Enhancing the Role of the Grand People’s Study House
On July 22, 1984, the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il sent a letter to the participants in the national meeting of educational cadres and activists. He taught, in the letter, that social education should be strengthened in order to make the whole society intellectual and that the Grand People's Study House should assume a very important mission in strengthening social education.
Saying that the Grand People’s Study House is an important base for making the whole society intellectual and a correspondence university, he continued that the role of the Grand People's Study House should be further enhanced so as to make an active contribution to raising the cultural and technical levels of the working people and to making the whole society intellectual.
He also instructed that the Grand People's Study House should introduce and propagate the latest achievements of science and technology in various forms and methods, and conduct more energetically the work to raise the scientific, cultural and technical levels of scientists, technicians and working people.
