The meeting on the train

All our people have been greatly touched by those stories about the sincere devotion to the people by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un embedded in the Yangdok Hot Spring Resort, one of the most popular attractions.

One day in August 2018, having arrived at Yangdok Railway Station, he convened a consultative meeting on the train to discuss remodeling the Sokthang Hot Spring Area in Yangdok County.

In the then hot spring area, various units had built and run greenhouses and fishponds to grow vegetables and catfish, which led to less benefit of hot spring for the people.

Referring to that situation, he earnestly said that the area with well-known hot springs with high curative value should be built into an icon of modern hot spring resort and its service level should be improved in conformity with it so that it could contribute to promoting the people's health and well-being as a hot spring sanatorium and hot spring cultural resort.

Hearing his words as a benevolent father who wanted to give the best things to the people first, the participants in the consultative meeting were warmly moved.

That day he said that it was a matter he had planned for the people to build a wonderful hot spring sanatorium for the promotion of their health and a hot spring cultural resort for the people’s cultural and emotional life. He also said that he was very pleased that day as he came up with a great thing, stressing that the people should lead a civilized life.

This was really a manifestation of the warm sincerity of the benevolent father with his ardent love for the people and his willingness to even pick a star from heaven for the people.

That day the officials were more convinced that the people's dream and ideal would come true on this land thanks to General Secretary who feels the greatest joy and pride in his devoted efforts for the happiness of the people.
