One day in November, 2022, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the bed branch factory of the Myohyangsan Medical Instruments Factory.

He looked round the production site and dropped in at the product display room full of medical beds designed and produced by the factory.

He personally worked and inspected the beds with meticulous care to ensure that there were no shortcomings in the medical appliances that would be used by the people.

Several hours passed by.

Looking round the room again, he said with satisfaction that it is now possible to produce various forms of medical beds by our own efforts and meet the domestic demand.

The officials of the factory were deeply moved by the loving care shown by the benevolent father who was much concerned about providing the people with medical equipment made at the highest level by our own efforts, looking round a small local medical appliance factory.

That day, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un earnestly gave officials an urgent request.

We should defend socialist health care by our own efforts and technology.

His meaningful words impressed deeply the precious truth of self-reliance that one should not look over others and borrow others’ efforts but believe in one's own strength and trust one's wisdom in the present solemn struggle for the development of the country's medical appliance industry.

The factory, which is not a big one, is now producing products, instilling into the minds of people the spirit of self-reliance that everything is possible with our own efforts and technology.
