Work for the Future of Our State

One day of August, Juche101 (2012), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un gave the senior officials of the Central Committee of WPK the valuable instructions on putting importance to the science and technology.

The respected General Secretary said that the Party has recently put forward a number of slogans related to the idea of attaching importance to science, and that it should not be called out as simple verbal mottoes but implemented in practice.

That day, he told them earnestly that the work for the future development of our State should be given priority and unsparing investment, and that instead of weighing it on the scales we should invest in the scientific field without hesitation.

The officials were deep in their thought receiving the teachings of the respected General Secretary.

And they realized the true meaning of his far-reaching idea of giving priority to science, that the development of science and technology was an eternal work and the most important work for the future of the State.

Officials looked back on their work of the past.

Did they not make short-sighted investment in science and technology for an immediate profit rather than a long-sighted one for a ten- or twenty-year program? And did they not organize the work to improve the research and living conditions of scientists only for the sake of demonstration?

Reproaching themselves in this way, they confirmed their firm determination to uphold practically our Party's idea of attaching importance to science, instead of repeating it in empty words or shouting as slogans.
