Education, the Mother of Science
As we are witnessing the proud reality of our country where giving top priority to education and talents is being firmly established as our social and national traits, and the slogan of “Let’s make a leap forward by dint of science and guarantee the future by dint of education” is being embodied in practice, all our people are feeling keenly the meaning of the following new term of our era:
Education is the mother of science!
This reminds us of the meaningful teaching of the General Secretary during the 5th Plenary Meeting of the 7th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea in December, Juche108(2019): that if science is the locomotive propelling the economic development, education is the mother of that science.
What a profound meaning this precious teaching reflects!
Indeed, this is a golden saying of philosophical meaning that the great force of talents shouldering the scientific and economic development of our country can grow up only in the rich soil of profound education.
Educational work which is now the far-reaching patriotic work for the prosperity of country and nation is paramount among all the state affairs and also a lifeline in building socialist powerful state.
We should rely on talents and sci-tech in order to bolster up our own strength, create valuable wealth on the strength of self-reliance and self-sufficiency, and thwart the sanction and embargo of the enemy, which necessitates the priority of education.
Building a powerful state of education and talents is none other than building socialist state with powerful economy.
Far-reaching idea of the General Secretary who aspires to add glory to our country as a country of education and talents has given rise to the great flame of educational revolution of the new century throughout our country, which has duly led to the coinage of the new term of our era:
“Education, the Mother of Science”
This historical term resonating clearly in mind of all our people tells the lofty aim of the General Secretary, who puts a great emphasis on educational work so that our country would be abundant in talents and thriving as a socialist state with robust scientific leaps.
