True meaning of modernization

One day in December 2014, Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited a foodstuff factory. On that significant day the true meaning of modernization was more clearly highlighted.

He told the officials who were giving him high greetings emotionally that the panoramic view of the newly reconstructed and modernized factory was very wonderful, expressed his satisfaction at it, and looked round different places of the factory with great pleasure.

That day, he dropped in at the general control room of the factory, looked at the large display on the front wall and was delighted at that the integrated production management system had been built.

The officials were deeply moved, looking up to him who was fathoming heartily the painstaking efforts of the scientists, technicians and employees of the factory.

At that time, he kindly instructed an official to explain the production process and listened carefully to the official's explanation.

Then he told that in the future, other foodstuff factories should modernize the production processes on a high level as this factory, and that modernization, which was realized by introducing foreign country’s equipment, not by our efforts and technology, could not be called true modernization in its original sense.

Then he emphasized that the modernization required by our Party was not a modernization based on other people's strength and technology, but the modernization based on our own force and our technology.

The significant teachings of respected General secretary contained the precious philosophical principle that reliance on our own force and our technology was the key to develop the country's economy and hasten the prosperity of the country.
