Tongue Pain of the Elderly People is a Sign of Cerebral Thrombus

Dizziness, memory impairment, benumbed limb, and so on, are the signs of cerebral thrombus. Recently, tongue pain has also been found to be a symptom of cerebral thrombosis.

The pain of the tongue among the elderly people without any special reason is one of the symptoms of cerebral thrombosis. Therefore, the pain on both sides of the tongue root without damage of the surface of the tongue should be considered as a sign of cerebral thrombus.

Cerebral thrombus is common in people over the age of 50. Women, especially before and after the age of 60, have a high rate of morbidity.

The tongue pain is called tongue capillaritis, which is closely related to systemic arteriosclerosis and high blood lipids. Therefore, if the elderly people have a sore tongue, blunt tongue sensation, or discomfort in moving tongue, cerebral thrombus might develop and they should see a doctor to take medical treatments.
