A study conducted by university researchers found that green tea is good for brain health if they drink it regularly.
The researchers found that drinking more than three cups of green tea each day reduced the area of gray matter damage.
Damage to gray matter results in Alzheimer's disease and cognitive decline.
These results were obtained in a joint study by several research institutes.
The research paper stated as follows.
“In this cross-sectional study, decreased gray matter injury in elderly people without dementia was found to be associated with intake of green tea rather than coffee. The results of this study suggest that drinking more than three cups of green tea a day helps to prevent dementia. In the future, vertical and basic studies are needed to confirm this result."
